All the Christmas wishes I asked for in the abive thread. And even my xmas gifts I'm getting in real life:
-My new 55" 4k TV, AND my new XBox1if.
I could be allowed to sit in the 2017 NFL Rules Committee and be grabted a vote.
Because I REALLY would like to know how in the HELL is a defensive lineman supposed to tackle/sack a QB
without
"slamming him to the ground"?
I mean, after all, basically, isn't thar what "tackling" somebody entails???
i.e. Olivier Vernon's pivitol ( and unfairly penalized) tackle of Wentz in last night's Giants vs Eagles game is a prime example.
Hell, what else was he supposed to do? The QB was scrammbling around, and could've turned and run up field at any momenthe had to take him down.
Now, had Vernon grabbed him,
lifted him off the ground, and slammed him to the turf
I could've understood the call. But to merely pursue & tackle the QB like he didI mean WTF? If their momentum caused them BOTH to go down and Wentz winds up being concussed, how is that Vernon's fault? What else was he supposed to do, wait for Wentz to be in just the right position/angle to avoid injury and then tackle him?

i like that idea.
Which? The rule change, or Goddell being hit by a bus? j/k
But maybe the ALMIGHTY, all powerful rules committee should have a civilian/fan advisory board put in their two cents, because a lot of the time it seems like they've list touch.
NOBODY KNOWS what a catch is, or what a legal hit is any more. It's freaking ridiculous and infuriating. And call me crazy, but I don't think the rules should be infuriating or confusing. Really, is it really that hard to get it right?
