Not sure who deserves the credit for getting Mack and the rest of what turned out to be excellent free agent picks ups and draft picks over last 2 seasons but kudos to him. GM Thomas Dimitroff was way over due on some productive acquisitions but coincidently picks got better since Dan Quinn took over as head coach.
I like Atlanta's chances as well. The defense isn't great but their turnover ratio has been great and they are very disruptive. Beasely has been beastly in his 2nd season. The offense of course is why the Falcons could be a sleeper in the playoffs. Matt Ryan has been crazy prolific. I would love to see a stat on how many Falcons got their first NFL TD this season. I have a whole new respect for Julio Jones. I already was in awe of his ability as one of the best wr in the league. Now I'm in awe of his ability as a teammate. Always unselfish, Julio has had several games with only a few targets and never once has the guy said a word.
I would prefer not to wait until next week to clinch though. The saints would love to spoil it for Atlanta if they can't get it done against the bucs.

Some great runs by Ajayi to get the Fins in FG range and it looks like we are young to win, but Ajayi is down. Hopefully he is okay, the last thing we need is another injury.

I played Adam Thielen last week in fantasy and he didn't catch a pass. Put him on the bench this week, and he blows up.

Packers d is a pretty favorable matchup. They made Matt Barkley look like matty ice last week.

I'm worried that my bench is going to outscore my starters this week.

                  To recap today's games :
Dolphins defeat the Bills 34-31 in OT. Huge win for the Fins as we are very near our first playoff birth since 2008. Ajayi had another big day, he ran for 200 yards against Buffalo in both games and Matt Moore has done a solid job as the backup. I'm excited about this Fins team. And Rex Ryan is gone in Buffalo, he ran his mouth but disappointed badly once again.
Patriots defeat the Jets 41-3. Total demolition at Gillette, the Pats dominated in all phases of the game. Brady had another terrific performance, throwing for 3 more TD's and no picks, he spread the ball around nicely to Edelman, Bennett, White, Hogan etc and they dominated on defense and special teams as well. The Pats need a win next week or an Oakland loss to clinch home field throughout the playoffs and the Pats are clearly on another level than the rest of the AFC and arguably the best team in the NFL, and Tom Brady has to be the MVP frontrunner.
Falcons defeat the Panthers 33-16. Falcons cliched the NFC South with their win and the Bucs loss. Matt Ryan had another great game and is an MVP contender, and he has spread the ball around terrifically all year. He has thrown a TD pass to 13 different receivers I believe, an NFL record. He has been helped by the best offensive line he has ever had and by the 2 strong running backs. This defense is no longer a weakness and the special teams are good and they are a threat in the playoffs.
Packers defeat the Vikings 38-25. Aaron Rodgers was brilliant once again, with over 300 yards and 4 TD passes he is red hot and the Packers have won 5 in a row and can win the division next week in Detroit. The offense has finally come together in Green Bay, the line is healthy, Montgomery has given them more of a running game and the receivers have gelled. As for the Vikings, they are in a free fall with a one dimensional, lousy offense and they obviously have issues when the defensive guys are ignoring Zimmer's game plan. They need the season to be over so they can figure out their issues.
Jaguars defeat the Titans 38-17. Mariota goes down during the game and the Titans are toast. I guess the coaching change worked for the Jags.
Redskins defeat the Bears 41-21. Kirk Cousins and company destroy the Bears in a must win game in Chicago. They host the Giants next week in an interesting game with big playoff implications.
Browns defeat the Chargers 20-17. That's right, the Browns win!!!! The Browns win!! The Browns win!!
Raiders defeat the Colts 33-25. A costly win though, as Carr breaks his leg and is gone. Such a disappointing end to the Raiders season, but they will be in the playoffs and maybe even have a first round bye if they win next week or if the Chiefs lose but I doubt they will be going anywhere without their star QB. The "most feared QB in the league" threw 2 picks and had a mediocre game and his team is how 7-8, but Colts fans will continue to say Luck is elite.
Saints defeat the Bucs 31-24. Saints spoil the Bucs hope of a division title, I think everyone had overrated the Bucs somewhat and without Doug Martin at RB they are somewhat one dimensional. The Saints will try to play spoiler again next week in the Georgia Dome against the Falcons with the Falcons going for the 2 seed.
Cardinals defeat the Seahawks 34-31. Major choke by the Seahawks, they were sleepwalking and unmotivated and it cost them the 2 seed. And this will be a problem for them in the playoffs as they are much better at home than on the road.
49ers defeat the Rams 22-21. Congrats to the Niners, they swept the Rams and those are their only 2 wins of the year.
Bengals lead the Texans 3-0 at halftime, with the Texans trying to clinch the AFC South.
2 games tomorrow and MNF left to go in Week 16.
                  Some excellent football everyone!!

Evidently you didn't see one bit of Vikings-Packers today and certainly didn't check any stats.
                      Today's Vikings offensive stats:
                      93 yds rushing @ 4.7 per rush
                      Bradford - 34/50 382 yds 3 TDs
That's pretty balanced for today's NFL.

Mostly it was in the second half when the game was already over. The Vikings didn't do a whole lot in the first half. And look at what happened last week against the Colts, they got demolished by one of the worst defenses in the league. So Bradford threw it 50 times against a crap defense in garbage time and they gained yards, doesn't mean the offense is good.

I never said the offense was "good" and it wasn't during "garbage time". I now know for certain that you didn't watch the game.
You commented on how unbalanced they were today and that wasn't the case. Quit making comments like that unless you either watch the game or at least check the stats.

Don't get me wrong, Pagano and Grigson especially blow and the Colts have no one to blame but themselves for this mediocre year, but having "one of the worst defenses in the league" as you put it might explain why they didn't make the playoffs. You put way too much emphasis on the QB and act like he's the whole team. "Oh, Luck didn't win the division? He sucks!"
Can we have someone else do these play by play threads next year please? Nobodymournsthewicked could do a better job than this scoreboard watcher.

Cam Atkinson and Matt Calvert from the 2008 draft. That's surprising. What happened to Columbus greats like Mike Commodore, RJ Umberger, andand Jan Hejda?

Mike Commodore is one of the absolute best current or former athletes to follow on Twitter. Completely hilarious and un-PC, calls Mike Babcock a piece of sh_t at least once a week, and the guy is literally an Uber driver.
The correct answer is Matt Calvert.

Texans win 12-10 and clinch the AFC South.
So a team that started Brock Osweiler for most of the year won the AFC South over "elite" and "feared" QB Andrew Luck. How's that Colts fans?
