I've never had Korean food, but I wouldn't mind trying it. There was a nice Korean restaurant not too far from where I lived in Las Colinas, but we never ventured into it.

Jasno?
Eh….maybe we can bring a placard with his name on it so he'll be there in spirit.

We should probably apologize to rouge for derailing her thread.
It wasn't on purpose, rouge, sorry!

Um, let me think….
No! LOL
That's due to our huge egos and larger-than-life personalities. We always have to be the center of attention. Notice how every Texas member of this forum is a "character" of sorts?
That's how we do down here in these parts, ma'am.

I was being silly in the previous post but I wanted to ask you, how is ATL? How do you like living there?
I have a friend from ATL who moved to Vancouver some years ago. She swore she'd never go back because she hated it there. What's been your experience?

I mean I understand the general dislike of Atlanta. The city is extremely gentrified and even segregated in some parts. And it doesn’t have a culture or “cool” vibe that makes a lot of other cosmopolitan cities famous (Miami, Chicago, NYC, etc.)
Personally, it’s good enough to call home for the time being but def not a place to settle for the rest of my life. The city starts to wear on you after so many years.

Atlanta is referred to as "the Black mecca of the South" and is known for its nightlife and gay culture. All of that aside, as far as gentrification goes, it's practically the same in the DFW area.
We can get into an entire conversation about gentrification and its effects on the black community, but I'll save that for another day.

I can understand that. That sentiment is shared by many who live in urbanized areas like Atlanta. After living most of my adult life in various cities around the East Coast and deep south, the decision was made to move to a rural area.
The atmosphere is a complete 180 from what I was experiencing in the city. It's more laidback, less stress, and too quiet at times, but the people are friendly. The only thing I hate is the distance we have to travel to get to the nearest shopping center.

Maybe I can weave together a tiny salt and pepper hairpiece to place on top of it, so it'll lend a bit of authenticity. He'd like that.
Rougee likes a good derailment from me.
Quickly saunters away from that double entendre. Nope, not gonna touch it!
