Maybe because our state is run by a bunch of opinionated, egotistical S.O.B's who want to secede from the union.
Or…
It could be because we're a conservative red state who doesn't give a toss what anyone else thinks of us.
It's most likely all of the above.

We already have a money mint/reserve so why not.
The casino spot could actually be at the old Texas Stadium in Irving. Winstar and Choctaw might not like the idea. Most of their customers are Texan.
