On Black Friday I ordered a ton of **** from major retailers, including an Xbox One Wireless Elite controller Series 2.
What does the controller have in common with everything else I ordered? Absolutely nothing. Every other item I ordered was not only on sale, it was delivered in a timely fashion. The Xbox controller has neither of those characteristics. Not on sale. And still hasn't shipped to this day. The only indication I have that the order even occurred is an absence of almost $200 from my account and an estimated arrival date of 12/24.
I spent 30 minutes trying to contact support through online chat help (worthless) and was greeted by some knob with the introduction that he was "an xbox gamer" and how could he help me? I told him I didn't want to talk to him, I wanted to talk to actual support staff that could resolve my issue. He assured me that he was that, and the introduction was forced on them by Microsoft in some retarded effort to make customers feel more welcome. Absolute retardings.
Then the retard asked me where I had ordered it from. OMG this guy was stupid. 30 minutes of dicking around constantly prompting me for my order number he finally admitted he was just some kinda of "ambassador," didn't know ****, and had no way of accessing my account, order information, or generally be able to help me in any way so he would bump it up to actual support. At that point I just closed the chat browser, cancelled my order, and ordered it off ebay with an estimated arrival time of 2 days.
    Microsoft is the worst.

I know, I could have gotten this last week if I hadn't been greedy and wanted the bing rewards points, which amount to a solid 10% back.

he finally admitted he was just some kinda of "ambassador,"
            https://www.extremetech.com/gaming/270234-microsoft-replaces-xbox-support-reps-with-unpaid-volunteers
The next time you reach out to Microsoft’s Xbox support, you might not be talking to a Microsoft employee — or an employee of any kind. According to a new report, Microsoft has replaced most of its paid social support staff with unpaid “Xbox Ambassadors.” In some cases, the support reps who were let go spent their final weeks of employment training the new unpaid volunteers…
Microsoft doesn’t pay the Xbox Ambassadors — technically, they pay Microsoft for the privilege. You can only be an Ambassador if you pay for an Xbox Live Gold subscription. You also need a gamer score of at least 1,500 and no account infractions for at least 12 months. In return for their volunteer efforts, Microsoft rewards Ambassadors with XP, free games, and entries in prize drawings.
Too cheap to hire Indians. Most of the issues people contact tech support for are probably solvable by "Ambassadors" so they figured they could save a little bit of money and anybody with more severe problems can get ****ed.

I think microsoft knows very well some volunteer who can't access your account info is not going to be able to help you with a placed order.

Calling any kind of help line is like playing the lottery, you lose 99% of the time and want to throw your phone through the window.
However that 1% when you get someone who is actually helpful you feel like you've won big.
My worst time ever was trying to resolve a billing error on my landline. In order to discuss this I was put through to India and had to try to explain my predicament to someone whose only knowledge of English was
"Hello, my name is [insert English name to make me feel more comfortable] how can I help you?"
An hour and a half of variously being passed to other clueless Indians and huge chunks of time on hold, I finally gave in and hung up a blubbering nervous wreck.
If you ever move to the UK avoid BT like the plague.
