THB, I don't know how realistic it is. When the bad guys capture her and imprison her, they make no attempts at raping her - you know in real life, if that were to happen, there'd be some sexual misconduct. Gender neutrality isn't as perfect as the fiction portrays it to be.
Ideally, we want to have heroes like Lara Croft, but the villains aren't going to do the same thing to them as they would to men. Villains aren't PC. In real life, they'd likely try to rape Lara.
