Agreed. The FB group, PSN community, and XBL club that I made are all meant to complement an actual board.
As for which board we should use, I think the sub-reddit is a far better solution than IMDB2. -

Better option than Reddit. Really hate the whole circlejerk mentality of reddit.

The upvoting/downvoting on Reddit creates a different dynamic that rewards people for going with popular opinion and burying unpopular ones.
It's also way too "Internet 2.0" with people fishing for approval in the form of upvotes and "Reddit gold." In that sense it's not unlike Facebook.
Personally I haven't had issues there, but I can see why some people don't like it. There's also the issue of moderation unlike IMDB, Reddit is tightly moderated, which is a good thing. But the moderators are just fellow users, which means some of them are extraordinarily a.nal and others love abusing the tiny amount of power they wield in a tiny slice of the Internet.
Bigly. -

Yeah, but a minor gripe if the the thing takes hold. Took me three attempts to make a post though Hope that's not a regular issue.
According to me, yes. I am the person it's usually according to when I'm talking. -
