I don't know what to say. It will take time to find another place where you can discuss and get help regarding media in general.
Best feature about IMDB was the message boards, and it doesn't take time for you to spot trolls and avoid them to enjoy the forum.
Can't see any reason other than that IMDB doesn't have enough resources to deal with thousands of boards. Why don't they ask for volunteers?
I'm pretty sure that a lot of members won't mind helping.

Yep. Same here. Tonight's probably my last visit to IMDB.
They thought the boards didn't generate enough money?
The joke's on them, without the boards, there is nothing here of any value.
All the corporate jingles are all available elsewhere.
