There are certain regulars here that I'll follow wherever they go
I hope we can continue as a community somewhere else, but I have to say I'm actually attached to the board itself. It's the IMDb Video Games Board! Fun things have happened here. I first started posting here just after I became a sixth form student 12 years ago.
I guess maybe it will be like moving house. I just hope any new place we move to will contain all of the features I've come to appreciate on IMDb:
Neat and tidy
The layout is clear. It's like the difference between FaceBook and MySpace back in 2006. Most people's MySpace page was cluttered and unsightly, whereas FaceBook's house style tidied things up satisfyingly.
No karma system
People should respond with words rather than votes. A karma system will make the board into a popularity contest when the focus should be on constructive debate or fun banter.
The ignore function
Ignoring people works better than reporting/banning people. The banned person could just create a new account. Also, many reports can be an overreaction, so it's better if people generally used ignore instead.
Censored words (beep)
Obviously people can work around it, but doing so makes it a touch more whimsical than if they were flat-out using uncensored offensive language.
Can't post images (only links)
This is important. People have different tastes, and some really won't want to see the kind of images that others would post. Even if they're not disgusting exactly, they can be a nuisance.
Just the right amount of visitors
I guess there could be some days where there was very little activity, but generally I thought it was alright, and I liked that the board wasn't too popular and flooded. It is important, however, that it's not a closed community. Having new visitors each day (or seeming to) makes the board feel more like a public stage.
Well organised (thread, flat and nest)
The features of this board were very handy-to-use for navigation.
Moderation not absent but not overdone
Maybe this is something that could be improved on another board, but it's also something that could be a lot worse. It's important that you'd get banned for posting some things, but I wouldn't want an overemotional, stuck-up moderator deleting any form of banter or OT thread.
Overall, it could be that this board was as close to exactly what I want out of a message board, but hopefully somewhere else will work out just as well.

Not going to find anything exact, but this (thank you, Harry) is close. Some of the points you made above don't fit. Plus it would be difficult to find for new users.

You can't just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry! -

All of those sub-boards should be made into just the one board, or two (On-Topic/Off-Topic).
Also, I'm not sure if a lot of people would be comfortable with Harry being the Global Administrator.
