This week I think, want to say the 4th? So week after for you if you're using renown.
The defender appears to put a window into reinforced walls so defenders can see out safely, attacker sees footprints.

Oh, wasn't expecting it so soon.
Hmm, interesting. A reinforced window seems like possibly leave you exposed. But I guess almost everyone's ability has downside.

I guessed as much, otherwise it wouldn't make any sense. I mean, it can give away where you're hiding inside the point. Maybe it's one-way?

Well I think the idea is to know the set up of the enemy outside and also to make Bandit more effective at using his bandit trick to destroy thermites. If it was one-way that might be too unfair on Attackers, but we'll see.

Thinking I might try to finish Lightning Returns. It's the only FF game I have left on Steam that I haven't completed.
After that I'll move on to one of the 30 or so games in my backlog. God damn steam sales and humble bundles.

Finished
Kathy Rain
earlier today. Despite the end being fairly lazy, I think it's still one of the better point 'n' click adventures I've played in recent time.

Maybe it turns to poop once it really opens up?
actually seems to be the common consensus as I remember the 'first impressions' thread for this game being pretty positive. Then everyone who hated it started hating it.

Shelved Final Fantasy IX after a rather cheap boss somewhat early on. That's one thing I dislike about most Japanese role-playing games, how features are often unlocked as the story progresses. Often leads to the earlier boss fights being some of the more difficult. Should probably give it a second chance one of these days.

Yet you loved Final Fantasy X-2 and Final Fantasy XIII.
Your tastes are absolutely abysmal. You are absolutely hilarious.

VA-11 Hall-A Cyberpunk Bartender Action
- Simple, but very charming. It's an anime cyberpunk visual novel with occasional bartending gameplay that can branch the story. Charming and fun characters. I really like the art style. Music is also really good. Might be more into visual novel games than I thought (as in, I didn't think it was something I'd ever be interested in). Though, I would prefer to play them on a handheld console. It has a Vita release planned this year.

I played a bit of Warband for the first time in a while, but it was lagging (my ping was 104) and a couple of random players vote-kicked me out of a server when I was playing too good for them.
I had a dream this morning in which I was playing a game set in New York City where you play as a father who has it on good authority that the world will most likely end (as it does in the film Knowing).
The objective of the game is simply to spend the day going around shopping and sightseeing with your ten-year-old son. It's kind of an open world. The shopping malls are huge, maze-like and filled with lots of sidetracking events and characters. One of the main objectives might have been something like trying to search for your own parents somewhere in the city.
The boy isn't aware that the world is ending, but he's feeling quite sad about other things, and it's your job to cheer him up. He often goes off on his own like Ellie in TLoU or Elizabeth in BI. At times the game is like a light-hearted musical (e.g. Singin' in the Rain), but it's always a bit sad and melancholic.
An emotional part was when a friendly security guard who felt sorry for the boy took him for a dance in a wide open street as the sun was slowly reaching the horizon in the background. I don't know whether I could have interfered but I decided to just watch and sit on a bench some distance away. It was a chance for the father to get a bit tearful while he was away from the boy. Then suddenly when he looked up the security guard seemed to have vanished, and the boy was left standing there all alone.
I definitely remember sensing some loud explosions happening around corners in the streets. There was a lot of commotion as members of the public were confused as to what was going on, but whether or not the world actually ended I don't know because the dream ended.
