At a ambulance company I used to work at, there was a guy claiming he was a US ARMY Ranger, he didn't know I was in the ARMY. He didnt know what he was talking about and the areas he said he was in in Iraq, I know for a fact the Rangers never went to. When he tried hinting he was there when Saddam Hussain got caught that's when I called his BS. Me and another guy who was also in the ARMY embarrassed him bad in front a lot the employees. He disappeared after that, last I heard he went another company saying he was a Navy Seal.

You are a moron. Plain and simple. There is no sugar coating it. You think it is okay for some beep to wear a uniform and medals that they did not earn? You think it is okay for someone to claim themselves to be a Navy Seal or something so they can get extra benefits of some kind? Yeah, people against that kind of thing must have issues, not you..oh wait.

When someone does Stolen Valor it's an insult to me. For someone who's been there and know what's it's like also has memories that you don't want. It's just insulting to see that.

I think the best part about it is how everyone tries to make themselves sound like a badass. Like how that guy you mentioned said he was there when Hussein was captured, or they're part of a black ops team where all their missions are strictly classified. They know not everyone in the Military goes out to fight right? My buddy served 4 years in Iraq and was essentially just the mechanic but still got awards and sh!t (unless he really WAS just a Black Ops team and 'Mechanic' was his cover up). I think the guys who claim stolen valor would probably not get called out so fast if they said they were mainly just doing work around the base and not claiming the plot of Rambo 3 was the story of their military life.
And the story you mentioned before about the Paramedic is EXACTLY why we need people calling out Stolen Valor!

How we got the guy was simple. When they caught Hussain they were searching for him in 2 areas "Wolverine 1" and "Wolverine 2" so we asked him what part of Wolverine 2 they catch him in. Me and the other ARMY already knew they caught Hussain in between the 2 search areas in a area called "Dead Zone". So when he said the area in Wolverine 2 that's when exposed him. Plus to add insult to injury we broke the news to him that Delta Force caught him and the Rangers weren't there. Of course he tried covering his lie with some secrecy crap but we called him on his BS again.

Not even close. That was not a statement made in irony.

I feel empathy for the men who wear it to serve some false sense of pride and ego, because they really appreciate soldiers despite themselves being mentally ill. For the mentally sound f_ckers who do it to get discounts, mooch off strangers, and disgrace those who served, you can f_ck right off.
It's also a disgrace to civilians. They use the uniform to get a special place in line. I've seen people do the same thing with a wheelchair. This motherf_cker faking a wartime injury to get ahead in line for a PS4 on opening night. Piece of sh!t. Now THAT is cringe-y.
