Old Man Logan
They're doing another run of this? Hopefully Mark 'crawling in mah skin' Millar isn't writing?
All-Star Batman
For a moment there I thought someone had revived Frank Miller's gawd awful beep stain of a comic. Phew!
Anyway, looking through the list I realise how long it's been since I read comics.

Al Ewing - Ultimates, Ultimates2 , New Avengers, Contest of Champions
Tom King - Grayson, Omega Men, Vision, Sheriff of Babylon, Batman
Jeff Lemire- Descender, Black Hammer, Moon Knight, Thanos, Bloodshot,
Old Man Logan
OML is in the 616 (regular Marvel Universe).
After the Secret Wars crossover last summer, Reed and Franklin Richards rebuilt the Marvel 616, they also brought in Miles Morales from the (now dead) Ultimate Universe, and OML from the future. Since our Logan is dead, he fits in nicely, although his healing is slower and his senses weaker.
Jeff Lemire is one of the finest writers today. He's a workhorse, but none of his stuff suffers for it. Everything on that list above he does is gold, plus his older independent stuff. Though I'm not a Bloodshot fan.
All-Star Batman
Ya it's a monthly prestige format self-contained book. Currently it's Jeff Snyder (no relation) and John Romita Jr working on a TwoFace story.

Maybe the comic had more than one writer? Butt, yeah, okay. Makes sense in a comic book sort of way. New Wolverine is dead and needs to be replaced. Pick a fan favourite to take his place. Seem to remember you mentioning the Moon Knight sometime ago.
So is the new Ultimates is just a team rather than a separate universe?

Maybe the comic had more than one writer?
Mark Millar created OML, but it was set in an alternate future and a limited series. The current OML is in the regular universe and a continuing series. Lemire is a master writer, but look at Sorrentino's work.

So is the new Ultimates is just a team rather than a separate universe?
The current team is in the regular universe and tackle cosmic events. They last force-evolved Galactus into a creator of worlds.
It's America Chavez, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Blue Marvel, and Spectrum. Written by Al Ewing, who is also fantastic.

Seem to remember you mentioning the Moon Knight sometime ago.
It's a fantastic book. It really emphasizes his dissociative identity disorder. The series opens with Marc Spector in an institution, the lines of his reality blurring. He hops between the hospital, a world where Set has taken control, a reality where he is Steven Grant a hollywood producer, Jake Lockley a taxi driver, fighting intergalactic werewolves, or Mr. Knight - a suave vigilante.
It's absolutely insane and I love it.

Eh, didn't read much this year. Looks like a solid list ,if way to big two heavy. But I guess this was based on fan vote? So it makes sense.
Glad to see Moon Knight on there. And I love Aaron, but he's kind of like Warren Ellis; all of his indie stuff is great but he's very hit and miss writing for Marvel.
And since Vision is over, guess I can pick up the trades now. Was it cancelled or was there always an end date?
According to me, yes. I am the person it's usually according to when I'm talking. -

Wanted to get to Omega Men toodidn't know it was the same writer. Did you read it? Sheriff of Babylon isn't ringing any bells

I did, it's great. Collected a few months ago. King took an old obscure group of GL characters and made them extremely interesting, and to top it off, make me like Kyle Rayner.
Sheriff of Babylon is a Vertigo book.

Seems so.
They had an open thread, where anyone could nominate anything so long as it fit the category. Whichever noms had the most upvotes in two weeks won the nomination.
The data was kept hidden, so I couldn't tell you how many upvotes BvS had compared to others. I can say SS was nominated, but didn't make the cut.
