'Cause I think the ride has ended.
Liam has officially left the group over anxiety issues.
Matt, the boss, is taking some time off for much of the same reason.
It's not so much a band breaking up as people needing some time to relax, but one of them is officially finished.
So, now it's Pat and Woolie as a duo, while Matt streams from his Twitch.
Liam was the first of them to stream, but has since become the most absent in terms of live streaming on Twitch. Woolie streams frequently from the main Twitch channel, while Pat has started streaming between the main channel and his girlfriend's, username "PeachSaliva."
The anxiety may be due to the group putting out 2 videos a day, an average of 70 minutes of content each day, with bonus videos, con meetings, guest spots on other channels, and a weekly podcast 3 hours long.
And they just got that office.
It would be a shame if it ended since these guys do a lot to support indie titles, artists, and animators, not to mention Matt's treasure trove of hard-to-find garbage games.

      I'm fan!
That is a shame, although I can see how it's difficult work. They're playing constant new games and any mistakes are not let off at all. Every series hits peak in the first few episodes but they're committed to playing the whole thing. Woolie is awful at all games.
Still, shame they couldn't keep going. Maybe not enough money for 4 of them?

I wonder if it's become more than a four man job. I mean, there's the possibility that Billy's helping behind the scenes and doesn't want to be heard.
Watching some of Achievement Hunter, I get the impression that four people is not enough to edit together so much content.
I like Woolie when he's playing something he is both excited about and decent at. Watching him suffer through Reboot got so bad I started skipping videos. The Last Guardian threatened much of the same, but getting Woolie to THAT scene at the hour-mark was worth it. He has the best reactions.
I think I've been drawn away from Liam's recent series, given how exposed his dry humor is when Matt isn't around. But I guess that was the show of his stress, that he wasn't finding much joy anymore and no longer played devil's advocate during the podcast.

Also a fan, though I can understand the guys feeling the pressure putting out all that content. A real shame if they fold as they are the best.

Oh god, I hope the group survives. No hard feelings towards Liam at all, you got to look out for yourself first and I hope he gets through whatever he's going through. A Metal Gear Solid-style salute to you, Sir Liam.
Pat and Woolie can make for a good duo as I loved their DS2 and Bloodborne playthroughs (I think DS3, besides Pat grinding which is fine on your personal game but kinda made the LP game action dull, would have been better without Matt. He was great on the Bloodborne DLC because he loved that game but he's not as into DS as the other two) so hopefully they can keep it up while whatever restructuring happens.
I know they were kind of set on keeping it to 4 members but with Liam gone the amount of content they were putting out probably necessitates four people if not even one or two beyond that. I can understand she might not be the most natural fit since she's Pat's girlfriend but Pat and Paige did a really good job with the FF XV stream and I'd love to see more of them together. Obviously the three of them will probably know who would be the most natural fit so hopefully fans won't bombard them with tons of unneeded suggestions of Billy, one of the Dork Girls, etc. Like, guys, they're far more familiar with the people in their lives then us outsiders, if they want to expand then they'll know who to pick without our "assistance".

Used to watch them a little. Always got a kick out of their videos when I did.
Didn't know they were putting out so much content and assumed the anxiety stemmed from personal life stuff/biology
I guess it would take a lot of time to get all that produced (except for twitch stuff where there's no editing), and I'm not sure of everything they're up to
I'd doubt the workload was the main cause of the anxiety, as a person with absolutely no personal knowledge of those guys outside of having watched a handful of their videosunless they secretly hated each other or the work But that's just wild speculation on my part. They could have been working 18 hours a day for all I know
According to me, yes. I am the person it's usually according to when I'm talking.

They're definitely legit friends. They said in a video once that the idea of doing this much work with non-friends would be unbearable, and Matt just tweeted Liam an extremely heartwarming message in wake of his announced departure.

                    Big fan.
They just moved into the office and are exploring completely new territory and possibilities. If Liam suffers from anxiety, no wonder that affects him as with Matt.
Shame to see him go but I think Matt will be back.
Their biggest problem is they do, far, far too much content. I also watch Game Grumps and even though they have a larger team, their format is great. They bankroll like 10, 10 minute episodes and roll out 3 a day. They do that for like 10 games and roll out a mixture of them (Usually around 3 videos a day) so there is always content.
Whereas SBFP roll out 30-40 min videos everyday usually from 3 different series not including the constant barrage of fighting games that are around 1 1/2 hours.
They need to regroup, hire somebody who can help edit and manage stuff for them (Which seems to be what they are aiming for) and do shorter videos.
For those who don't watch them, you should. They are as funny as they are informative, relaxed and focused and very knowledgeable about games
Call me an ambulanceand not the one I just ran into

I think the October Sh!tstorms were getting to Matt. One big theme-month of content with 31 different games is a lot of work that he edits months in advance, while the other three members help with the rest of the workload.
Matt will be back, but I'm glad he's taking time off.
It's strange to compare their workload to someone like Maximilian Dood but he gets most of his content right off of Twitch and his separate channel Yo Videogames is run by Simmons (I think). Of course, Max also works in videogames at an official capacity, editing story trailers for Killer Instinct.

Real shame, they were honestly the only youtube video gamers I watched on regular basis due to humor and knowledge.
I also enjoyed the non video game videos such as their vacations, cons, and Matts shopping spree videos.
I wish them all the best.
