Furi
- It doesn't feel as hard as it did anymore. Need to try Furier Mode (hard difficulty).
Dark Souls - Return to Lordran goes on until the 25th. Anor Londo is full of invaders.
The Silver Case HD Remaster - A crime story that mostly works like a visual novel. Perfect to play during late nights.
Gammeldags Jul
- It doesn't feel as hard as it did anymore. Need to try Furier Mode (hard difficulty).

Looking forward to the Return to Nexus event. I've never actually played Demon's Souls with or against other players outside of maybe the Old Monk boss fight.

BioShock 2
- I'm revisiting the series at the moment and I'm about halfway through the game. It's an odd one; the moral system is more in depth and has some more impactful effects on the game and the gameplay itself is vastly improved allowing you to use plasmids and weapons together in what is easily a more satisfying experience. The original has some of the clunkiest gameplay ever and this one is a lot easier to pick up and play. It's still somehow a lesser game. The atmosphere is lacking (especially the sound effects), the level design matches only the weaker third act areas of the first game and the story feels like a footnote. Essentially the game feels like enjoyable hefty dlc. Minerva's Den is better.
Overwatch - As you say, amazing game that I can see myself playing frequently for a good number of years. Time will tell.
Rocket League - There's a fantastic mode in this game that allows you to use powers like tornadoes, suction cups and boxing gloves to knock enemies out of the way and score. I had no idea that it existed but I've been playing it of a night with friends for the past few days and I'm having a blast.

Second Sight: wanted to play something a little bit retro for halloween month, not exactly a horror but sci-fi by the timesplitters team. I have to say I think Psi ops did the same thing with gameplay and did it much better, but this game just has a far better story.
Snatcher: always meant to finish this years ago and finally I have, what can I say except that unlike MGSV it actually has an Act 3 (though it didn't originally on the MSX.) Anyway it's pretty hilarious with some nice easter eggs if you go looking for them (even those Easter Island heads) and lots of twists in the 3rd act which is mostly lots of talking but I didn't mind. And now I can start Policenauts for the saturn. In short its Blade runner meets the Terminator meets invasion of the bodysnatchers. I do wonder if there's other visual novels out there worth playing/reading? -

Mafia 3 - Fantastic game, love the soundtrack and setting.
Madden 2016 - Watched Friday Night Lights and I felt the urge to play it, even named my created player Matt Saracen, fun game.
Homer: "Knightboat, the crime-solving boat." -

The Halloween update is a beep Godsend, I wish you could play as more than the 4 characters I'm the absolute worst at. Junkenstein's Revenge is a great beep gamemode, closest thing to an actual campaign. What they should do once they add Sombra and another "Villain" character they should make a not Halloween version of this, that way the Halloween version will continue to be unique but then at the same time we can continue to play this wonderful gamemode.

it also makes the characters extremely expressive and even manages to give Link an actual personality and the ability to convey emotionswhich is a first for this series
The "emotion" in The Wind Waker was way too heavy-handed and force-fed. Watch the scene of Link leaving Outset Island and waving goodbye to his grandma. You wouldn't admire it if you saw it in a Nickelodeon cartoon, and you certainly shouldn't admire it in The Wind Waker. It's just lazily-made rubbish.
The "emotions" that Link shows when he stands still aren't anything I'd call impressive, but a bigger point to make is that we shouldn't be looking
at
Link. We should be looking
through
him. The world around Link is the game's star, and that ought to be the focus. Link isn't exactly a great character, and that's fine if he remains the "link" between us and the game (not something to be stared at).
Also, let's not pretend Zelda on the N64 didn't have just as much in the way of animation. One feature reviewers praised back in 1998 was Ocarina of Time's step forward for facial animation. Many characters would show more than just a neutral face. Many characters were given body animations that were indicative of their personality in some way. If they seem "still" or wooden by 2016's standards, then it's not like The Wind Waker isn't the same way too. We should thank games like OoT for paving the way forward.
OoT also featured other animations that added to the expression or touch of realism in the game. They used motion-capture technology for animations such as the way Link mounts or dismounts his horse. Meanwhile a lot of the animations in The Wind Waker (especially in cutscenes) are laughably bad.
