Is a Lego game worth $4.99?

Current rating for Hotline Miami - Obsessed. Everything about it is near perfect. Music, difficulty, controls, design, look, feel. I do get caught up on doorframes from time to time, resulting in an untimely death. But I have a ton of fun dying too.

Hotline Miami 2 has at least one song that is even better than anything in the original's soundtrack. Roller Mobster by Carpenter Brut!

I was one of those peeps who thought "more HM? Yes please! No way can they F this up".
While they didn't necessarily
F
it up, they made some design choices that just don't work. The biggest offender being too big and open areas. You literally have trouble seeing the enemy while they might see you.
I haven't finished it.

That doesn't sound fun. I love the tight corridors and rooms of this game. It feels cheap when a guy kills you and you didn't even know he was there.

Welcome to Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.
I should finish it at some point. I do like how the characters had different abilities and such, and there are moments when you hear songs like Roller Mobster playing while you destroy everything around you that are just as awesome as those in Hotline Miami, but yeah
The game should've implemented a level editor too.

4.99? Definitely! Theyre not the most mind-blowing or innovative games out there. They're just fun, straight forward and enjoyable games. Best played in co-op with a friend. They're also great for the fan service (not the creepy otaku kind of fan service, the other kind!) and usually full of awesome little references to their franchises. Lego Batman 2 and Lego Marvel Super heroes are especially fun and have a TON of characters you can unlock and mess around with in sandbox mode. And if you already like/love Lego and/or played with Legos as a kid (or maybe still as an adult?), it's pretty much a no-brainer! I personally LOVE [most of] the Lego games - they're just easy, straight-forward FUN.

Only if you have someone to play with. I used to play a lot of those with my brother when we were younger but they got repetitive. Our favorites were Indiana Jones and Star Wars Complete Saga
The only one that significantly changed the formula was the recent Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens and that actually made us play a lego game again, it's really good
