                without a doubt. The
                Indiana Jones
                movies were never even remotely good. They're just dumb, brainless, badly written popcorn movies for easily amused elementary school boys. The original
                Star Wars
                films at least had depth and fleshed out characters.

                  Actually I might go even further.
                  I would go so far as to demand
                  "Blake's Seven"
                  over any of these big, bloated, bogus, blockbuster franchises.
                  Pound for pound,
                  "Blake's Seven"
                  has more sheer creativity.
                  Low budget SF –like low-budget horror –is often far better than what studios do in the Luc/Berg/Cameron era.
                  This is the same reason that film noir is as classic as it is; and why neo-noir is usually pointless.
