Yeah, not for me. It’s gruesome stuff just for the sake of being gruesome.

There is no torture, no. It's not a gore fest. But even mentioning it here as a headfuck is a spoiler. That movie is best gone into without knowing a thing about it.

Yah, these sisters tried to warn him, although they could have spoken a little more clearly.

It was a really good film. Loved how it played with your head.

First watched the movie when I was 10-12 years old (don't remember exactly).
Our parents weren't at home, freedom!
After that, I was glad to have siblings and decided to never visit Venice.

I remember seeing it the first time on cable. Chilling! there are a couple of movies where Venice is shown in a bad light, creepy, menacing.

Great creepy factor without ridiculous uncalled for violence. Another for a rewatch!

I avoid the super violent bloody stuff, too.
The Crazies - military/government screw up causes mass insanity. Lots of tension and suspense. Timothy Oliphant as sheriff in a small town trying to get to a solution.
Come Play - just very scary and was a brain worm for me. You see the situation from the little boy's perspective as well as the mother's. Made my skin crawl.
Each of these could have been a 2 hour special presentation of The X-Files with Mulder and Scully working the cases.
