TWD was all over the place. Season 7 was only bad in the 2nd half. Season 8 was dogshit. 9 was great, then it started to suck again, with a fee okay parts strewn about.
Comic is way better in every way. I hope they do annanimated series or another live action adaptation, maybe a limited series in the future. It needs to not be held back back basic cable censorship and not be drawn out.
