that's true. it's probably bc streaming (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Disney etc) has become so huge that the mainstream is reduced to far fewer theatrical releases -

the original is Thelma and Louise. gave brad pitt his shot at becomming a future megastar AND most important: these two annoying chick flickettes DIED at the end thereby saving us from any sequel. a prequel, not so much, but interest in the characters has dropped to near zero so we be safe.
