My favorite would considered a neo noir film I guess. Bound (1996)

I haven't seen the Martha Ivers one, yet but Leave Her to Heaven is one of my favorite films from that period. A gorgeous film, featuring a mesmerizing performance by Gene Tierney and one of the most chilling murders.

I don't watch many movies from that genre. It all sounds interesting though.

I have The Noir of all Noirs with an All Star Cast.
All joking aside, I think it was cleverly done.

                  I love that movie.
                  So many funny lines.
“I had no trouble finding Dr. Forrest’s cheese lab. It smelled like the number on the door.” Cut to a shot of a door with a “2” on it.

Here is a link to a list of the 100 best film noirs of all time.
                                https://www.pastemagazine.com/movies/the-100-best-noirs-of-all-time/#1-the-woman-in-the-window
So far, I have seen 35 out of the 100. In a Lonely Place is on the list, a very good film, watched it recently. I was not surprised by Bogart, he is clearly one of the great actors, but I didn't know much about Grahame, she was also outstanding.
The films I didn't like enough to recommend were The Lady From Shanghai (1947) and Blood Simple (1984). Maybe One False Move (1992), too.
The rest I enjoyed, the most recent being Crime Wave (1954).
The film Croupier (1998) is available on Prime so I might watch that next.
