However, we do not know beforehand that he is a robot/android. That isn't revealed until the end of the episode. That's not how we're shown that he isn't a human being. It must be something else unless you're misremembering.
As for "The Sixth Finger": That is about a scientist exploring with speeding up evolution.
There is an hour-long episode of "The Twilight Zone" titled "In His Image". But, I don't recall that being the "reveal".

No, you are the one who is mistaken. The scene described by the OP takes place at the end of Act 2 of the hour-long TWILIGHT ZONE episode "In His Image". He (George Grizzard) is hit by a car and then examines his arm in an alley and peels the slashed skin away to reveal electronics underneath.
On "Demon with a Glass Hand", Robert Culp's character has a mechanical hand from the very beginning of the episode and spends the hour in a deserted building recovering the missing electronic fingers to find out from the electronic brain inside the hand what is going on. In the last scene, the fully restored hand informs him that he (Culp's character) is a machine. He sees some glowing from the rest of his body and hints of electronics underneath, similar to the hand throughout the show. At no time does he ever peel back his skin and see electronics as George Grizzard's character did in TZ. And he is not in an alley in that final scene.
So the correct show the OP was looking for was the TWILIGHT ZONE episode entitled "In His Image." -

IK, R?
I see this all the time and have to LOL!
Do the responders really know that the OP with the faded name is gone for good and will never see their post?
