Well, there is a caning scene in "If…." and it's a pretty strong scene.
The movie is at least half way about rebellion under the regime. You might like it. But it also might bring up some bad memories for you.

I never got caned at school, but was threatend with it and I knew boys that were and it wasn't pleasant. Teachers were frickin' abusive A holes.
This scene from Tom Sawyer is quite rough for a family movie too, which is a very enjoyable musical adaptation yet this scene is distressing. They needed to have dealt with a sequence like this more subtly and perhaps just devised a less severe punishment for Tom in a G rated movie.

I liked "Blade Runner' and Rutger was my favorite thing about it. The "tears in rain" monologue is a tear-jerker.
Rutger was both beautiful as well as handsome. His eyes are killer blue. I've always had a thing for Rutger Hauer.
Have you seen "Turkish Delight", NZer? It was his first big film, I believe.
Thank you for voting and for posting who you voted for.

There is something ruggedly attractive about Shaw. He was really something when he was younger.
I fell in love with Berlinger in the 80’s when I saw him in The Big Chill, Simeone to watch over me, and yeah, even the crazy guy in Platoon.
