True story about this film. The title of the film doesn't have anything to do with the film itself.
The producers thought they should have a little fun at Bob Redford's expense. Redford at this point in his life hadn't had an erection in over 20 years. So the Producers thought , let's call the film " All is Lost" . Kind of a backdoor way of shining a light on Bob's impotence. -

Jaws (1975) the last half of it anyways
Master and Commander (2003) and what a shame they didn't adapt more of O'Brian's novels
Run Silent, Run Deep (1958) is a great sub movie and it based on what I think is the best sub novel of the same name, though Hunt for Red October and Das Boot are both very good.
The Poseidon Adventure (1972) is also based on a fine novel but one of those times where the movie is better
The Final Countdown (1980) great idea for a time travel film, though it never lives up to the promising idea, has a terrific cast and score, with a nice twist at the end
The Bounty (1984) excellent film, based mostly on the Richard Hough book Captain Bligh and Mr Christian, features my favorite Hopkins performance as Bligh
Juggernaut (1974) incredible cast (also featuring Hopkins), a thriller set on a luxury liner, the first half is exceptional and features some dangerous practical stunts, the second half is where the film kinda loses momentum but definitely worth watching.
