Were you planning to open a bed and breakfast or wedding venue or something??? That's a lot of house. I also imagine that the upkeep on historic homes or just old homes in general is expensive and never ending, plus the climate is changing. I really want to build a house, even if it's small.

I was gonna rent out the guest house and also let people have like wedding photoshoots there, to help with the mortgage.

if you are concerned about mortgage payments or state taxes, an estate like that would be more than you could handle. the amount of help you'd need for the upkeep would be expensive. i know you're not the type to get your hands dirty like that.

That costs $2,750,000? Virginia must be quite expensive then, because that house would probably go for $900,000 here in Missouri.
