Why is MSN recycling this same old story from 2018? Has nothing new happened in the last 8 years?

I've often wondered why Lindsey Graham's parents named him Lindsey.

          The Alphabet 1968
was made for the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, combines animation and live action and goes for 4 mins. It has a simple narrative structure relating a symbolically rendered expression of a fear of learning.
The idea for The Alphabet came from Lynch's wife, Peggy Lentz, a painter whose niece, according to Lynch in Chris Rodley's Lynch on Lynch book,
"was having a bad dream one night and was saying the alphabet in her sleep in a tormented way. So that's sort of what started The Alphabet going"
          .
Based on its merits, Lynch was awarded an American Film Institute production.
In 2023, MovieWeb ranked The Alphabet as the 9th creepiest short horror film of all time, writing that it captures
"Lynch's unique talent for crafting an atmosphere of absolute dread"
          .

May be that his wife's niece inspired Lynch to make this short film.
He certainly also have heard of the Morlok quadruplets.
The Tragic Story of the Morlok Quadruplets
The birth of the Morlok quadruplets sparked a media frenzy in 1930.
The sisters later gained notoriety a second time — in a sad way.
The four sisters were born in Lansing, Michigan.
          🇺🇸
The probability of having identical quadruplets naturally is one in 13 million. That wasn't the only reason
Edna, Wilma, Sarah and Helen Morlok attracted so much attention. Quadruplet births were also dangerous. The survical chances for mother and newborn were low. That they survived was a medical sensation.
In July 2025, Sarah Morlok Cotton, the last of the four sisters, died in a nursing home at the age of 95. She and her three sisters were dragged into the public eye as children and abused by their parents. They became famous – and later became seriously ill.
The Morlok Quadruplets caused a Stir in the USA
Shortly after their birth, a huge media frenzy began. The local newspaper even held a contest to find names for the children. Initially, they were simply called A, B, C and D, in the order of their birth. The names Edna, Wilma, Sarah and Helen ultimately won because they corresponded to the initials of the Edward W. Sparrow Hospital where the girls were born.
The parents were overwhelmed by the interest and quickly found a way to profit from it. Father Carl Morlok,
a trained factory worker, was unemployed, like so many others at the time. And since many people openly visited the Morloks' house to catch a glimpse of the quadruplets, the family charged 25 cents admission.
          Abuse by their Father
Their mother taught the little girls to sing and dance, turning them into little artists. At the age of six,
they performed on stage for the first time. They traveled through different states and became minor celebrities. During the Great Depression, any distraction was welcome.
          The Morlok family in 1937.
At home, a strict regime prevailed. Their father was a tyrant, Sarah Morlok Cotton recounted in her autobiography. He set 20 rules that the sisters had to follow. Visits from friends were not allowed, and the girls themselves were rarely allowed to leave the house. In a book about her and her sisters, Sarah Morlok Cotton also recounted that their father abused them and even sexually abused them as teenagers.
          Severe Mental Illness
The Morlok quadruplets' fame finally turned tragic. As adults, all four suffered from severe mental health problems. In their twenties, they were diagnosed with schizophrenia. Thus, the quadruplets gained notoriety for a second time – this time in the scientific community and under a different name.
To protect the family's identity, their surname was changed to
          "Genain"
for research purposes. The sisters were known in literature as Nora, Iris, Myra and Hester Genain. Scientists investigated the genetic predisposition of the disorder and concluded that it was
"an unfortunate interplay of nature and nurture"
. Abuse by their father played a role, as did the genes of their paternal grandmother, who allegedly suffered from schizophrenia too.
One half of the quadruplets: Sarah Morlok Cotton (left) with her sister Edna in 2001.
Sarah Morlok Cotton was the only one of the four sisters who was able to lead an independent life. She married, had two children and worked as a secretary. Wilma died in 2002, Helen in 2003 and Edna in 2015.

When I look at the photos of the four sisters, I doubt that they were identical.
          But they were definitely sisters. A 👧🏻 B 👧🏻 C 👧🏻 D 👧🏻

I like the music better on Imaginary Girl. Lynch made such dark stuff but he was a jovial guy who seemed to be truly loved by all who knew him.

Undoubtedly, David Lynch made great movies. Well, I'm a bit ambivalent about him.
                  Lynch was very much
                  'inspired'
by other artists - to put it charitably.

He is a desperate man who has ****ed himself by getting into a war he knows he should not be in, even after promising he would never start any wars.
So he goes onto TV in a desperate move to try and magically lower gas prices just by repeating lies he has already said.
Preaching to his cult choir and saying things the vast majority disagree with who do not want this war.
                        Otherwise what was the point?
