I've never ate a banana because the texture doesn't appeal to me. But I use to have banana milkshakes when I was lifting weights. Tuna too. It was hard to get down canned tuna.

How Many People Think Chocolate Milk Comes From Brown Cows?
The misconception that chocolate milk originates solely from brown cows is more prevalent than many realize, with studies indicating that as many as 7% of adults in the United States believe this to be true. This widespread belief highlights a significant disconnect between consumers and the agricultural origins of their food.
I've actually read that the percentage of people who think chocolate milk comes from brown cows is actually considerably higher.

I have heard that it isn't just children. I just assumed that the adults who believe it were whoafully misinformed.

I think most of the people queried were adults! Crazy, isn't it? I never thought that, even as a child. Think of all of the other "adult decisions" they're making. I mean, what if they're having children?!

My parents never bought chocolate milk. If anything, they would get either Ovaltine or Nestle Quick to save money. It wasn't until I was older and staying with cousins that I saw that you could buy chocolate milk. I think that was where the chocolate cow idea came from.
I think I said something about it coming like that from the store and my uncle or my aunt jokingly said that the store got it from chocolate cows.
I'm ashamed to say that I told that to my son many years later when he was little.
He didn't buy it either.
I am starting to think that these things get passed down from generation to generation. People start to believe it!

I think we were told a lot of silly things when we were kids, but we eventually grew up and realized that our grandparents (it was usually them, at least in my case) were just teasing. Knowing I simply loved horses to bits, whenever we'd all go on our Sunday drive after church, when we were driving by pastures, my grandfather would pipe up with, "Look! Look at all those horses!" (And they were cows, of course!) Of when we'd get flurries of dandelion fluff in the air, my grandfather (I'm noticing a trend here!) would say, "Look! It's snowing out in July!" He could be such a stinker, but he was the best stinker and the best grandfather I could ever, ever have asked for.
We also had Ovaltine, but that was more in my great-aunt's house or great-grandmother's house. I remember eating the powder raw!
