I do love Prometheus
But this is a thread about sci-fi and not comedy, so it doesn't get in
But, if you were to watch Forbidden Planet expecting Leslie Nielsen to be funny, that's a perfect pairing with Prometheus -

It wasn't demanding. It was just tedious. Certainly the imagery was good. And there were some very good performances.

Well maybe one other thing , I have more love for Aliens. I think it's an absolute classic.
As is the first. Two completely different films but both perfect. -

You're right. In the Philip K. Dick story (Do Androids Dream…) he is human. I think Ridley Scott (interestingly) muddied the waters by implying that Deckard was a replicant. Harrison Ford (also interestingly) believed that Deckard was human, though Ford's performance was quite automaton-like.
