They really need to seek out these gentle FEEL-NICE comedies of Mackenzie Crook. I’ve never watched any of them myself but I’ve heard from folks online and the radio that they’ve saved lives.

can send Ricky around to check up on him?
He usually gets BLIND DRUNK on a Friday and (as you say) out for steak at the Feltchers Arms on a Saturday. Sometimes he spends Sundays recovering. So by that reckoning I don’t think we need to start worrying too much until Midday on Monday.

If Monday comes and there's still no Benny, I suppose we could contact the Feltcher's Arms and ask around. There's 3 brothers, 2 parents and a lot of steak - they must make an impression. Then there's the psychiatrist, she's a once a month visitor and so she'll likely be on the NHS in some capacity and should be able to at least pass along concerns or well wishes -

Yes they had an absolute whale of a time together. Ricky still thinks of it as the best time of his life and the only time he’s ever felt truly at peace was that stay with his Uncle Benny.
