He is a youtuber who does film reviews. Starting just before he went public about making his own film he stated he would no longer review any films negatively…most people believe this is so he could be in good standing with other film makers going forward. I'm willing to give his film a shot though. If you look up the youtube channel paranormal paranoids there is a whole backstory & lore established for this film…I think its odd that I haven't seen it mentioned at all in its promotion. That is how I became familiar with it in the first place. I liked this youtube channel because it was the first modern example I know of that original 90s blair witch style marketing.

No problem. same here, as I said I'm cautiously optimistic about it, Mike Flannagan's interest in the film is probably a good sign but we will see. I'm sure opinions will be posted here once it's out too.

I thought this film started out well, but alas becomes more increasingly generic as it unfolds. I think this movie tried to cram way too much stuff into it and probably would have been better if it had a good deal less going on story wise. That said, this picture has lots of pleasingly spooky imagery and I liked the opening found footage section. But overall all the diverse and disparate elements ultimately fail to jell into a more cohesive and consistent whole.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
