Anyone liked Chloe?

After she finds out about Clark's powers she becomes my favorite character.
I am the opposite I like her the first 4 seasons, once she found out the secret she became to much of a writers crutch many times making Clark look like an idiot. -

I agree. After she found out his secret I didn't like her as much (but I also greatly preferred the early seasons of Smallville to the later ones, so I liked all characters better in seasons 1-4).
Where she really went downhill though is when she lost the journalism aspect of her character, and lost the job at the Daily Planet. She was totally useless after that. Her role as the smartest computer hacker in the world was a terrible crutch used by the writers way too much. And her relationship with Oliver felt forced, and lacked intensity and chemistry.
Basically, after Smallville no longer was Smallville, and essentially became Superman/Lois and Clark she should've been done. -

All the journalism in SV was taken up with Chloe especially Clark's future job. She was one character who they could've had a better trajectory thought out, she had a character arc that should've ended before Clark goes to Metropolis and becomes Superman.

The thing I find about plot exposition characters is they are good in small doses but once they become a focal point they start become annoying. I find the same thing with Felicity on Arrow. I liked her in small spurts Season 1 but as the series goes on the more annoying I find her and her purpose on the show. I should probably add you are correct they went overboard with Chloe's hacking ability in Seasons 5+
In the case of both characters(Chloe and Felecity) it just felt like the writers knew that the characters had their fanbase and started to write to pander to that fanbase -

Have you made it to the fourth season? Trust me in that she does get better and becomes the true heart of this series! In the beginning she was annoying indeed but then switches roles with Lana whose character was ruined after season six.

Ive seen the series from beginning to the bitter and sad end, and still I hated the idea of there being a Chloe made. I had a lot of issues with the show, a lot of things could have been done to make it better but they never did them.

I hate snoopy characters generally. I cringe at how they poke around sticking their nose into everyone’s business. Plus watching now is kind of hard after the actress was jailed for being some sex cult leader
