As Canada tries to reduce its dependence on the US, its leader will visit China to rebuild ties

A leader of the Canadian government is visiting China this week for the first time in nearly a decade, a bid to rebuild his country’s fractured relations with the world’s second-largest economy — and reduce Canada’s dependence on the United States, its neighbor and until recently one of its most supportive and unswerving allies.
The push by Prime Minster Mark Carney, who arrives Wednesday, is part of a major rethink as ties sour with the United States — the world’s No. 1 economy and long the largest trading partner for Canada by far.
Carney aims to double Canada’s non-U.S. exports in the next decade in the face of President Trump’s tariffs and the American leader’s musing that Canada could become “the 51st state.”

Are you senile? Dementia setting in? Prices and inflation are skyrocketing, Trump has raised your taxes for no good reason, and you want to suck him off.
You have no idea what post-Trump hardships await. A lot of things are based on trust and respect, and Trump has DESTROYED America's standing around the world. He is alienating allies and trading partners. Allies are running to China for stability. Countries are starting to dump the dollar as the reserve currency.
It's a disaster. How well off will Americans be when we have very few allies and trading partners, and the dollar loses value?
Get ready for a blue wave this November.

When Dems are in the WH we never have this many protests, riots and violence that ends up with deaths.
The majority of them are based on his racist agenda while the coup attempt was based on a lie.
Then again last time we had a Dem two wars started that he supported of which one he may have encouraged to start and the other he didn't try to stop.
Trump at least pretends to care about peace if he is not being honorable.
(And don't tell me his Peace Board has good intentions behind it.)
So it comes down to the lesser of two evils which I think would be Dems because they do not cause chaos here at home while following the laws more so.

Stop. Were we not allies with Canada after Trump's first term? Everything is an 11/10 with you people. Obama went on an apology tour. Biden made a lot of effort to attempt to build the economy back. The world isn't over because of a bad President.

You cannot predict the future based on past events.
And what matters is the here and now.
And right now other countries are starting to do this more.
Turn away from us and find new trading partners with others to keep up and create prosperity since we are being run by a lawless dictating mad man who has no ****ing idea what he is doing by punishing our allies with his tariff bullshit.
So what will the fall out from this be?
If they do just as well or better without us what will this do to our economy?
Will N. Korea follow the examples of Canada and the EU?
I expect more to.

Countries are starting to show they have had it with Trump who is being a clueless bully.
Look, I don't want our economy to tank or I don't want to be financially hurt or worry based on Trump's decisions and I would rather have a president that keeps things humming along while doing his best at lowering prices or keeping them stable while he himself remains stable.
