I hadn't saw Mac and Me for approximately 20 years. Now my son is 6 and has enjoyed watching a lot of my old nostalgic favourites (you know, never-ending story, labyrinth, teenwolf, BTTF, masters of the universe etc) and we just watched Mac and Me this morning. Yes it's full of product placement, yes the acting is hammy at best, the effects are beep etc. But I enjoyed it, my son enjoyed it, then I did my usual imdb rating and saw its score. By no means a masterpiece, but by no means 'OMG the worst film I've ever seen'. Trust me, iv seen much worse. Anybody who enjoyed this in their childhood who is now a parent, bridge the gap, it's worth it. Plus it's on youtube

haha, serious?
You're offended that I enjoyed this film as well as enjoying BTTF and Labyrinth?
Yes its not as good as BTTF and Labyrinth, I didnt say it was.
I just enjoyed it on its own merit. It was 90 minutes well spent easily. -

I think it was worth a watch, because it's so damn stupid and cheesy. Especially the aliens are endless source of humor because they look they are stoned & drunk the whole time, especially the "dad alien"
It's also pretty well made if you compare it to b-movies with similar score. -

Yep agreed, I have fond memories of watching this in the cinema as a kid (and being freaked out a bit).
Watching it again this year with my kids (5 and 4) it's not terrible. It's not a good film by any stretch but it's enjoyable and the kids seem to be obsessed with it at the moment which is amusing.
