I saw it once and thought it was just weird.
Locking up a guy in a homemade jail in a fireplace.
I thought it was a TV movie because it has a feel/look of one and I watched it on a syndicated channel and thought it was made for them.
I see that it did have a theater release?

Not sure about the theatrical release. It's something that Abel Ferrara would be obsessed with, hence Dangerous Game. At any rate, it feels redundant for Farrah Fawcett at this point of her career after she did The Burning Bed, a much better movie which did happen for real.

Just that some rumor that Ryan could get easily triggered or angered?
I may not be aware if he ever took any anger out on Farrah.
Rumors, BS, speculation or anything confirmed?
I may not worry or care enough to let it taint my love for his performance, along with Tatum, in Paper Moon.

I believe nothing was ever confirmed about Farrah in relation to Ryan, but Tatum…that's another story. I did a bio of him but was unable to make a list of top films of his career (wasn't that many):
