One PLOT HOLE after ANOTHER!

I was absolutely AGHAST at some of the plot holes that riddled this show! When Count Olaf appears at the Uncle's house, both he and the kids acknowledge that they know one another. However, the uncle tells them to play along, and they then pretend they don't know who he really is. Who on earth wrote this garbage?

I guess you haven't read the books Uncle Monty also suspects him but for different reason he also thinks he is an impostor but nothing to do with count Olaf. It is not a plot hole that's just how the story goes!!!

I don't need to read the books because what you said was explained in the show. You're also misunderstanding what I'm saying. The plot hole is that the children and Count Olaf both acknowledge who one another are, yet the children then pretend to Count Olaf that they think he's legit. That is a CRITICAL plot hole.
