I liked this quite a lot until the religious bullshit at the end. I don't object to the direction they went in principle, just hated the execution.
But hey, better to swing for the fences and fail than not try anything challenging at all. -

Maybe I forgot since it has been so long, but can you name a single metaphysical or supernatural occurrence in the first season?

Religion was in the show from the get-go - and it was a major component too.
This is what is being discussed. You trying to change it has zero impact on the religious themes present throughout the entire series, fag.
