The actor joked about the career trajectory of his longtime friend and Twins costar — who was elected Governor of California in 2003 — in a new interview with GQ, telling the outlet that Schwarzenegger's priorities were misaligned when he entered politics.
"Arnold [Schwarzenegger] and I want to work together. We missed Twins 2, because he became governor — which, he should have done Twins 2 instead of becoming governor," DeVito joked, before revealing that the pair have something else in the works. "Now we have a little thing going, a little project that we've been chatting about."
DeVito said the duo's plans have nothing to do with Twins and it's an entirely new project. "No, it's just two friends, two guys, because we have a good time together," DeVito said when asked if the endeavor has ties to the beloved 1988 buddy movie. "We complement each other in a lot of ways. I am way stronger than he is." -

I think that's fine. Twins doesn't need a sequel. Not everything needs a sequel. Part of what made Twins so special was that it was Arnold's first real leading role in a comedy. He's done so many comedies and wacky roles since then, it's not as special anymore.
So many stories, so little time.
