Leonardo Cinimo was terrific as Scary German Guy. I especially liked the scene where it's revealed that he's a concentration camp survivor.

Wow - I had no idea until reading his bio here that he really WAS in a concentration camp, and that really IS his number tattoo. Yeesh. That moment in 'Monster Squad' is going to be even more haunting now.

From what I read, he is rumored to be a survivor of a Nazi concentration camp because of his work in Monster Squad and in V. Mr. Cimino. But IMDB states he was a resident of New York City at the time of WWII, and he joined the U.S. Army in the 1940s and participated in the Normandy invasion. So I doubt he ever was a nazi camp survivor.
Either way, he is/was a very good actor who played interesting characters.
