I'm just glad that leftists can now agree with me that inflation is a bad thing and executive policies lead to it
Yes, I agree. You were right when you said Trump is mainly responsible for inflation since he was in charge of most of the covid spending. The fact that inflation was dropping when Biden was president and it has only gone up under Trump only confirms your point that Trump ****ing sucks.

You mean Trump's first term when he added more to the national debt than all 43 previous presidents
        combined

Holy **** I've never seen a bigger failure in basic math than this right here. You, sir, are a treasure. This is some good "democratic socialist" math.

I'm merely quoting David Stockman who was checks notes Ronald Reagan's budget director and a board member of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.
            https://www.bostonglobe.com/2025/02/11/opinion/trump-30-trillion-added-debt/
During his first term in the Oval Office, Donald Trump added nearly $8 trillion to the national debt. That was more than 43 presidents had combined to accumulate during the first 216 years of the Republic.

Well first of all there were 44 before him, Obama himself added more to the national debt than all other presidents combined, Obama added $9tril and Trump added just below
$8tril. Now it's definitely fair to point out Trump did it in just 4 years, his spending was insanely reckless, but he did not add more to the debt than all other presidents combined.

The "Big Beautiful Bill" added $3.4 trillion to the debt. Trump has now easily surpassed Obama in less than five years.

Lol, there's that Commie math again. Since inauguration day 2025 up until right now the national debt has increased right about $1tril.
And fun fact, Biden added more than $10tril to the debt in his 4 years.

The $3.4 trillion number is based on a nonpartisan analysis from the Congressional Budget Office.

Any way you slice it, Trump has added more to the debt than any president in our nation's history. Over $11 trillion in less than five years.

You said it added $3.4tril to the debt. It hasn't, that's a lie. It might, but it hasn't. You were wrong.
Any way you slice it, Trump has added more to the debt than any president in our nation's history.
I never argued otherwise, I think he's terrible on spending, you only think so because he's a Republican. You're a retarded Bernie bro socialist, your answer to everything is spend more money, you only pretend to oppose it because you're a hack. You didn't mind Biden's record spending, I'm sure you didn't mind Obama's either.
Over $11 trillion in less than five years.
So far he's added less than $9tril For this statement to be true the debt needs to increase by more than $2tril in the next two months. Do you understand math at all?
It's fair to point out that Democrats push all this insane spending, any suggested cuts and they shut the government down, doing it now and did it his first term. Ultimately he signed the bills so it falls on him, but it's fair to point out Democrats hold the country hostage unless we blow out the debt.

The US already spends more taxpayer dollars per capita on healthcare than any other first-world nation and with worse outcomes and a lower life expectancy than most of them. Any serious attempt to cut spending would include implementing universal healthcare, instituting something similar to Milton Friedman's negative income tax (basically replacing all social programs and the associated bureaucracies with UBI), ending corporate welfare and subsidies entirely (including oil and corn subsidies), and drastically reducing our military presence throughout the world.

Right, the same thing Obamacare was supposed to fix, but of course it didn't, because any time the government gets involved in anything **** gets more expensive, less available and the quality decreases. There's a long track record of this.

Yes, because we refuse to do what already works in every other first world country. Universal healthcare and, on top of that, any medications developed through publicly funded research should be free of charge to the American consumer, minus a nominal service fee for whatever pharmacy happens to fill the prescription. Why should we be charged to access something we have already paid for?

Yeah and they have difficulty accessing Healthcare, pay out the ass in taxes, and is only viable because it's propped up by the US. Make those other weak ass useless countries cover their own defense and give themnonaccess to our innovations and see how fast their already ****ty healthcare collapses. Free markets and the profit incentive leads to more innovation and advancements, lower prices and more availability, government interference always leads to the exact opposite. But of course you're a Bernie bro socialist, you have the mentality of a child where you think the government can just declare things "free" and everything will work out perfectly.

Whether you want to use the list which ranks them in terms of raw dollars or per capita, nine of the top ten countries in the world by military expenditures provide healthcare to their citizens. The US is the only one that does not.
Free markets and the profit incentive leads to more innovation and advancements
Perhaps, but the US healthcare system is not an example of this. More than 80% of drugs on the market - and every drug approved in the past decade - was developed through publicly funded research. This is an excellent example of how corporate America always tries to socialize the risks and privatize the rewards. It's time to cut off their welfare checks. They can either exist in a truly free market and fund their own research or the government can simply manufacture the drugs themselves for a fraction of what we're spending to prop up Argentina and the savings to consumers would benefit other sectors of the economy.
lower prices and more availability, government interference always leads to the exact opposite.
Again, we already spend more capita on healthcare than any other developed nation, yet rank 49th globally in life expectancy and, when compared to 11 other developed nations, ranks last in terms of outcome, access, and efficiency.

But of course you're a Bernie bro socialist, you have the mentality of a child where you think the government can just declare things "free" and everything will work out perfectly.
Yes, things we have already paid for should be free.
                                        expand
I never said the US was a free market Healthcare system, that's just what I want, because free markets are always better than government control. You started this stupid argument by saying if I don't like spending I should advocate for universal Healthcare, because it will lower spending, say the same socialist economically illiterate clowns who promised Obama Obamacare would do exactly that, yet it did the opposite, and your solution is even more government control. No, that's retarded. If we want to fix our spending we get government out of the business of healthcare, not only because Medicare and Medicaid make up the vast majority of our spending, but also because the only thing the government is good at is killing people. So no, I want to cut the spending, that doesn't mean I want more government, that means I want the government to stop spending money. Stop getting involved in areas where the federal government has no business being involved in. Completely privatize Healthcare and get the government out, that will cut a lot of spending.
