          ¡Look at your Poll!
          Pearl Harbor (2001)
was a chick flick more than a war movie.

Pearl Harbor is a sloppy romance in the disguise of a war movie.

How is this even a question?
There is obviously only one movie about December 7th which is clearly the all-time best.
That movie is of course, "
                From Here to Eternity
". The legendary milestone epic anyone with half a brain in their head, immediately recognizes.
Are there any other flicks worth naming as a runner up? Yes.
                "
                In Harm's Way
                " by Otto Preminger.
Gotta ask: is everyone on this website no older than like, age fourteen? Literally, my jaw is hanging open at the ignorance I see on display.
For cryin' out loud, this is neolithic-era dimness. Did you all just pop out of the womb in the last few hours?

There's a fan edit of Bay's film which removes a lot of the padding, and it makes for a much better film, imho.
I think you'll find things are a little more complicated than that.
