Seems like this is one of those guys you always see on old movies and TV shows without knowing his name. At last I find out!
I seem to recall him doing TV commercials - maybe for American Express. And of course, he'd conclude with his mouth "pop."

Very reconizable face..Just saw him on a episode of "Lost in Space" complete with mouth pop. That must have been his trademark.

He was really well know for his sound effects and for playing high-strung waiters or department store managers. He was really great at what he did. His performance enhanced many a TV show and movie.

Late on friday night last week I decided to, watch Abbott & Costello's mexican heyride. I've read about his talent with the popping, his hand from his mouth but then I saw who it was. By the way Abbott & Costello are one of the best, not many people these days can compare. Well I haven't seen but one of Fritz' works which, is an accomplishment and enough I may say. Heck the guy's been in a lot of flicks looks like, I'd have to be insane to spend my money on one person.

but he did attempt the olive trick.

As a Baby Boomer he is one of them people I need to thank for making my life a little more enjoyable.
As kids we would go around popping our mouths the next day after he was on some TV show even parents and teachers knew who we were imitating.

Remembering the one and only true king of pop on his birthday.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
