That's complicated. Depending on my mood, I describe myself as either a "hopeful agnostic" or "Christian Taoist." I do attend Mass from time to time, but mostly for the peace and quiet, the sense of community and the fact that the parish priest is a fellow literature nerd and we sometimes have some nice discussions after the service. I certainly see value in Christ's moral teachings, but I could say the same about many Eastern strains of thought I've looked into. I'm not anti-religion by any means.

I don't know. I think there is good and bad in everything. In the U.S., religious leaders were among the earliest advocates for abolition of slavery, civil rights, anti-militarism, etc., but also Prohibition and other things that didn't work out so well. Usually it was the Quakers who had it correct most often. I'd totally be a Quaker if there were any near me lol

Atheist, and in some ways anti-theist, but I have a cultural connection to my Catholic roots.
I don't mind people believing in dumb ****, but I'm not gonna bite my tongue on how I feel, and I don't tolerate them pushing that **** on people, especially with how they influence laws that take away the rights of women and queer people.
