While we are here I am interested to get your thoughts on the recent passing of one of the greats Robert Redford.
We had some good discussions of some of his more recent movies, (I think you may have added them to your list? And I will add them to mine to rewatch.)
Just do you have anything to say on this latest news?
RIP Bob.
You gave us some great quality and epic movies of which many are recent classics.

Too bad about Robert Redford. I got nothing negative to say about him and had enjoyed his work. There won't be another like him just like Paul Newman. I did see a couple of your recommendations and will work on A Walk in the Woods soon.

I added the first one to his best performances list.

What do you think about my review of Incident at Oglala? I came into the film with zero knowledge of what transpired and no prejudice either way, and it's what I dug up afterwards.

I can't remember if we discussed this one before but this is one of my favorite spoofs that I got it and I never feel like getting the Naked Gun series even though I have the TV one on disc.
I think it's because I feel like from the TV show I have it already and the NG movies don't feel needed whereas with this one it is unique and I love the way they captured the film noir style with the plot, voice overs and the way at how ridiculous over acting of being serious they are.
Also the sight gags work.
Like the ceiling fan in the car as an idea for cooling the car before they invented the air blasting through the vents.
The suit with the tears and tire tracks after he got run over.
He can't decide which suit to change into when they all look the same!
He is a cop and a lawyer who defends those he busts!
The Tony Randall and Bob Uecker cameos are great!
That beer hat!
The rubber duck inner tube as to how she got away.
(Sleeping with the Enemy.)
Etc etc.

I think I like this kind of films more over those that are overt physical comedies. It's harder to come up with these stuff for 90 minutes than penis/sex jokes that are much more common.

Yeah, I agree. Anything like it that I might have missed out on?
