Gun ownership should be linked to education

Most gun owners in America are uneducated. That's why they have little or no impulse control, and kill so many people. If a graduate degree were the minimum requirement for gun ownership, gun deaths would fall to less than a hundred a year (as opposed to 48,000). Not to mention that during the few shootings that occurred, the gunman would utter some pithy and memorable phrases like "To be or not to be, that is the question" (before shooting himself), or "Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this sun of the NRA."

There should be at least the same type of requirements you need to get a driver's license.
I'm for gun rights. Leftists need to arm themselves, especially women and queer people, but some vommon sense requirements shoulf be in order. -

They could be asked simple questions like: Do you support Trump? Or, do you dream of shooting black men/women/your wife/children/people who overtake you and give you the finger?
yes to any of those automatically leads to denial of license, or even immediate execution. -

immediate execution.
To really rub it in and to make it the worst for them, shoot them with the gun they wanted to buy.

I am actually for roadside executions for DUI.
I really hate it when they drive drunk by putting me at risk.
Kill one and everyone else will get the message and drive sober.

Such as?
I have never tried to buy a gun so I dunno how it compares to getting a DL.
Unless you mean to make them wait for ****ing ever like most do at the DMV in a long line only at a gun store.
Then perhaps most of them will give up and not get a gun after all.
I am for this.

I've never bought a gun (inherited mine), but it's my understanding that varies significantly depending on where you purchase it. A legitimate gun shop is required to run a background check, while private sellers are basically unregulated. I am in favor of changing that.

I'm not going to bother looking it up right now, but I read a few years ago that while the number of guns have increased the percentage of Americans who own them has actually declined. This jibes with my personal observation that gun owners tend to own lots and lots of guns (personally I'm satisfied with the one single-shot shotgun I inherited from my grandpa). Back in college, I worked at a restaurant and one of my co-workers who was getting the same ****ty wage that I was managed to somehow buy a new gun seemingly every couple of weeks.
So I propose this: people shouldn't be eligible for any form of public assistance if their gun collection could ostensibly be sold to cover whatever needs they may have.

I’m so sick of ignorant fools putting the 2nd amendment and their right to bare arms over the lives of innocent children. The 2nd amendment was a good idea in principle when it was written back in the day, but these days it’s outdated and extremely stupid. You ain’t taking on a tyrannical govt with the worlds most advanced military equipment at their disposal with semi auto AR15s, shotguns and 9mm pistols, but deep down you know that. You just wanna run around with guns because, y’know, FREEDOM and all that nonsense. Scotland, Finland and Australia among others banned the general public from having access to guns after one school shooting atrocity respectively, there have been zero repeat incidents in these countries. Surely even the most hardened gun nut in the USA can make the connection? They can, but choose not to. Disgusting. ~some random tiktoker.
