Is Flamingo Road completely forgotten?

Great show. In my opinion, much more entertaining than any of the other nighttime soaps (Dallas, Dynasty, etc.), none of which I could ever make it through more than one episode. Great cast: Morgan Fairchild, Cristina Raines (whatever happened to her?), Mark Harmon, John Beck, Stella Stevens, David Selby, Peter Donat, Kevin McCarthy, Howard Duff. Duff's portrayal of the evil Titus Semple was nothing short of brilliant.
Would love to see it again somehow. -

I thought I was alone on this but I like this show a bit better then "Dallas" and I like "Dallas". I found it much better then "Knots Landing". Actually this show is much better then any wannabe nighttime soap on TV today.

The first series of Flamingo Road was actually shown in a prime time Saturday night slot in the summer of 1981 (after that years season of Dallas ended). Ratings were not good and the BBC were already committed to the second season, so they delayed showing it until 1984 when it was relegated to 11.10pm on Tuesday nights, that slot was also reserved for other US imported ratings failures such as Remmington Steele and Glitter (soap set in a glossy mag).

Actually Donna and Morgan were bitches at ALMOST the same time. The Flamingo Road TV movie aired in May 1980, and became a series in January 1981. Donna Mills joined Knots Landing in it's second season which was broadcast 1980-81.
So which bitch was the better bitch?

I remember it being on.but was never a Morgan fan so didn't watch it. I was into all the others though (and still am)
I'm a fan of John Beck, I searched him on You Tube and found a clip of the opening credits for F.R. Maybe they've added more clips since then?

If NBC was smart, they should have stuck with it for at least another season. It could have been a bigger hit. Maybe as big as
Dynasty
or
Falcon Crest
or
Knots
. It was NBC's only successful prime time soap of the '80s. CBS had
Dallas
,
Knots
and
Falcon Crest
, ABC had
Dynasty
.
