It's so bad it's good. It's everything a monster movie should be and ultimately shouldn't be taken seriously. Jon Voight is freaking hilarious in this film, Ice Cube is badass, Jennifer Lopez is hot and that snake was creepy as beep It's one of those movies that's so bad its enjoyable. I like the music and the scenary as both are beautiful.
You guys should see the marathon I did with Anaconda titled When Monsters Roam Free. You can check it out on my blog. The idea is the monsters get bigger as the movies go until it reaches it's peak.

It beats me how you people get the idea this is a bad movie, or even B.
If I have to try as hard as you to be a bitch about it, I suppose I could say John Voigt is a little lame. The Englishman is annoying.
Otherwise it's a great movie, even A. -

You seem to have Jon Voight mixed up with Ice Cube. Serone is the one who's badass, and Danny is pretty funny, but the one who's most hilarious is Jonathan Hyde as Westridge.
Like the first responder, I don't see how you and others can say this is so bad that it's good. You may be able to nitpick some things, but there's nothing bad about this movie whatsoever.

I was half expecting maybe even hoping to see Westridge at the end because the snake abandoned him after falling from the tree. I was thinking maybe he could have been recovered by the shirashama tribe and later rejoined the team for the finale. I mean it could have worked.

This movie is basically B-grade trash made under the auspices of a major studio with a respectable budget and hence features a bigger name cast than one would expect in this sort of junk.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
