I was watching the movie Heathers last night with my boyfriend and my roomate. It's been awhile since i've seen it. Just reminded me of the time I talked to him at work.
It was some time ago. As far as I can remember it was around the time he killed himself. It was sometime back in 1999. I am 23 year and was a lot younger then. Out of High School I started going to college and I worked at a job part time at a small office that dealt with cases of police misconduct. It was an office that had been around for a long time. He called me one day to file a report stating that the police had pulled him over and were harrassing him. He told me that one of the officers had asked him if he was related to christina applegate (told me this happened to him a lot) and that he wasn't going to work on a new project he planned on because of this. He sounded upset and it was a slow day so we spent about an hour talking.
He told me he was an actor and had done some movies (of course mentioned heathers) and I told him I had not seen it. He told me about his role in the movie. He did some lines from the scene where he finds out his article was shortened in the school paper and he said that his hair "looked like Corey Feldman's in the lost boys" It really just sounded like he was looking for someone to talk to. He told me about this girl he knew who was a close friend but he didn't want to pursue anything with. And the last thing we talked about was current movies and "Welcome to the dollhouse" (he loved it). I never forgot about our chat since I deal with people daily and tend to forget about talking to them immediatly after. But I always remembered him for some reason. Then I found out he killed himself around the time we talked. It's just an odd feeling. -

Same way a lot of other people did, from this site. I was at Hollywood video and they had this "cult" movie section and I saw Heathers there. So I rented it and I liked it, did a search and found out he was dead. Really tragic.

My best friend and I watched Heathers on a regular basishe had a crush on Winona and we both loved the cynicism and irony of it.
We are getting together tomorrow to watch Heathers since it's been 25 years since its release and remember it with such fondness since we watched it countless times. I didnt know about Jeremy's tragic death until today and will be sure to mention him when we get together to celebrate this amazing film.
RIP JeremyI hope you are in a better place nownot on the back page with the Taco Bell coupon.
