I like Maria's new look, a lot. She's been blonde for a long time. Why not change it, keep it fresh? Anyway, maybe it wasn't even her choice. Actors are told by their agents and representatives what physical changes to make for different parts. They have to have new headshots made all the time, and if they all look the same, then directors and producers aren't going to consider them for different parts. That's what Maria has been fighting and continues to fight - the idea that she can only be one thing. People who have only ever seen Maria in one genre of film don't realize that she has played different types of characters, and played them well. I love "Ring of Fire," for example, because in it, Maria gets to show a subtle range of emotion. You get a glimpse of what a fine comedienne she would be, if given the chance (like in that Drew Carey episode). I love "Mind Games," a variation of "Vertigo," in which Maria plays two characters. I love her scene in "Casper Meets Wendy," which is quick but memorable. And I will continue to rave about "Perfect Fit," a quirky film that may not be to everybody's taste, in which Maria gets to play a character with many sides and moods. She even gets to dance in one scene. She also has many different looks in this one movie, and why not? Her physical beauty is by no means all she brings to "Perfect Fit," or to "Saturday Night Special," or even to "Unnamable II," which she spends a good portion of in the buff. There are many male viewers out there who only appreciate Maria for her appearance, and I'm not going to change how they look at her. But it's sad, to discuss her as if she were an object and not a feeling person. Friends who care about Maria have to keep tabs on the message boards, because they are sometimes too hurtful and upsetting for Maria to read. I don't even visit that often, because it's pretty much the same handful of men complaining about change, and not representative of how the majority of Maria's fans feel.

I really liked her in "Saturday Night Special" and not just because when she was nekkid. That was one of the few times she played a bad girland I liked it!
As I've said, you can't blame guys for raving over her awesome bod with the types of movies she was in. She was super hot in them, nothing wrong with that. I really liked Maria as an actress even in B movies. She's probably one of the few, if not the only, actress of B movies who had her own series as I have several of the DVDs labelled "The Maria Ford Collection."
I really do wish Maria well in the future and hope to see her in something soon. -

She used to, but the fact is, she is working hard to land roles in movies and get modeling jobs and needs to stay focused and positive. Some of the things posted here have been insensitive or downright unkind, and she doesn't need that kind of negativity. That said, your comments this time are the most positive and supportive I've seen you make. Maria is supposed to be have a part in a family film this holiday season when I know more, I'll post it on my site.

Again, I hope she does very well. Even though I miss her in B type movies, it will be great to see her in anything recent, especially family movies. Thanks for keeping me and others up to date. -

i adored Maria Ford when she didnt have any facelift or breast implant, her huge aerolas/nipples and small pear shaped breasts + her very sexy appeal made her my favorite woman on earth, but the thing that truly turned me on is her very whitish skin and her thighs, i think she had/have the most beautiful thighs i have ever seen, never seen any woman/girl not even in pr0n movies with that shape of thighs, they're like my dream come true.
she looks horrible (face) today though, her body is still acceptable, i'd throw away everything if she let me use her thighs for a bit

I would like the thank Dizarray for attempting to remind some of you that this is a thinking feeling human being. Making comments as to whether her face or her body are "acceptable" is kinda disgusting - who are any of us to judge this woman's worth? And frankly the idea that someone you don't know could be your favourite woman on earth based on the shape of her thighs says a lot more about you than her. Grow up, please, for the good of our species!
What you don't seem to understand is that you are perpetuating the beauty myth and the cult of plastic surgery. You say she shouldn't have her boobs done and her face done but look at how many of the threads on her imdb page are based on her physical appearance. Women in the film and modelling industries are expected, by fans and producers, to maintain an unrealistic 20 year old appearance and then are lambasted for attempting to do just that. It's beyond unfair, it's beep cruel. Age is a natural process and doesn't n5b4egate beauty. Look at Sophia Loren.
As to the B-movie industry, I recommend checking out some of the interviews on line with Debbie Rochon, an intelligent and forthright actress who has gone through her share of hell and come out the other side. While you're at it, also check out the postings about Jeannie Millar, a model and actress who tried and so sadly failed to prove she was more than tits and a pretty face. I'm not saying that was the only thing that killed Jeannie Millar, but it seems too likely that it contributed.
Nice to see that Maria Ford has friends and fans here that are supportive of her life and her career decisions. The rest of you need to give women in general a break. No person on earth was born solely for your gratification, but every actor and actress relies on their fans to keep getting roles. Posting rude messages online doesn't help. -

Yes, there are myriad opinions in the world, and just because you live on IMDB doesn't mean the rest of us aren't entitled to express our own. You'd think after all these years your skill at arguing would have improved.
Me I love 5b4reading other opinions when they're expressed with wit or intelligence or at least sincerity and some attempt at human understanding.
