I want to the know the same question: What really happened to Christina?
While the film keeps you on your toes it the storyline was just everywhere. The charcters become different.
It's werid because if Christina did steal the millions of dollars in the bank account why did she do it? She was wealthy herself and she filed for divorce so why fake her death? The friend says she didn't do it and she couldn't have because she was not out their when Christina canished and was that woman at the end suppose to be Christina?
Also, why had the friend acted like Christina? She never showed that she wanted to be Christina.
I guess the ending is for us decide. It could have or hadn't been Christina but what I still ask is: What happened to Christina?
What is your perception?

I think it was supposed to be left open-ended, the fate of Christina, was she really dead, or did she fake her death and disappear? I usually HATE that type of ending with a passion, but for some reason, I loved it in this movie.

she didn't want to be Christina, except in the sense of being married to Joe, she says at the end that she did it to convince Joe that Christina was dead, so that he would fall for heryeah, well, she was kinda crazy, because all it did was make him think she was still alive, and almost get him sent to jail
