I never said eating vegetables was bad for you, but being a vegan IS bad for you. An optimal diet should be balanced, consisting of lean meats, nuts, fresh fruits and vegetables and olive oil.
Being a vegan carries the potential for micro and macro nutritional deficits:
Proteins: Vegetable proteins are harder to digest than animal proteins.
B-12: A deficiency of this can lead to carcinogenesis.
Iron
Zinc
Calcium
Vitamin D
Vegans also have a greater prevalence of
mental health problems.
