FX is pretty consistently the most underrated American network. In my view, they surpassed HBO years ago.

i'm not really familiar with American tv networks tbh. we dont even get HBO here. i really liked The Expanse and The Americans and Mad Men tho. which networks were these on?

The Expanse - SyFy
The Americans - FX
Mad Men - AMC
AMC also did The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad and spinoffs, as well as The Terror. Oh, and Halt and Catch Fire, which I really liked. SyFy did Sharknado
FX: The Shield, Justified, The Americans, Shogun, The Bear, Sons of Anarchy/Mayans, American Horror/Crime Story, Terriers, Fargo, Pose, Snowfall, It's Always Sunny, Atlanta, etc. Plus they handled U.S. distribution for Taboo, which I really enjoyed.

AHS is extremely hit or miss, and SOA initially had the potential to be on the same level as The Sopranos or Breaking Bad, but devolved into a pulpy biker soap opera. Still kinda fun though. The others I would fully recommend without reservation, especially Pose and The Bear.
Oh and Halt and Catch Fire, the AMC show I mentioned lol

Speaking of The Americans, have you watched Deutschland 83/86/89 or Kleo? I've seen only 83, but I liked it. And Kleo is constantly popping up on my Netflix recommendations. Worth checking out?

Lol I had to Google weebo…not very adequate in describing me tho…I detest anime and manga. Which is why I was so captivated by BES…not that nonsense at all! No demons or magical guantlets. Just a pretty tight ****ing story with some very impressive animation

i started Shogun when it first came out i think i got to like episode 6 but i never finished it. i will have to circle back to it now
i also tried watching The Americans bc i really liked Homeland and thought it would have a similar vibe but i never got into it
